I got 2 3-footers for my big tank. I got them from aquatraders.com. I thought their prices were quite reasonable - especially when compared to in-store prices.

Looks like a pretty decent light to me. I think it would work ok for a medium light setup. But I'm still a little bit duh when it comes to lighting. Did you notice that it is out of stock right now?

I have the 36" on my 65g, its a 25" tall tank and I would say its doing low to maybe moderate at that height. I have the same light but 48" on my 55g (21") and it seems more moderate to high, I think it may be a combo of the length and shorter height but I was able to grow some high light plants in it.
