  • Negative Impact of CO2

I know that there is a negative impact on fish with to much injected CO2, but is there a negative impact on plants with to much injected CO2?

The plants don't care about a lot of excess CO2 with the lights on. I'm sure if the pH dropped to being really acidic it could be a problem, but it seems to be very hard to drive the pH down really low with CO2. Before I stocked my tank the CO2 was running much higher than necessary during the day to eliminate any chance of the CO2 being a limiting factor.

My plants get crazy happy but fish get sluggish and pumping gills.

With CO2 too much affects fish; too little affects plants and allows algae to grow.
