  • CO2 resistant tubing

Does it really matter if I use Silicone tubing instead of CO2 resistant tubing? My kit came with CO2 resistant tubing but I had to cut the CO2 tubing to add the check valve and now I "think" by adding the check valve it has decreased the amount of CO2 going through. If I take it out, my tubing is to short.

I want to get rid of it and use silicone tubing because that it is the only tubing I have accessible. Is that okay?

With using silicone tubing you can loose precious CO2.

Standard airline tubing can release CO2 gas. The silicone CO2 resistant tubing will not allow the gas to escape.

Are you sure the check valve was inserted in the right direction? Another option would be to purchase a tube connector. Pick up one of those kits that has plastic T's, corners and straight lines. Then you can reconnect your tubing.

The check valve was inserted correctly. I went ahead and bought a tube connector...I'll find out if that worked.
