  • Any particular brand of Dert Ferts?

I think I am going to transition to dry ferts instead of liquid. Do any of you recommend a good supplier/manufacturer for Dry Ferts? I'm thinking of looking for Macro and Micros and any substitute for API Leaf Zone?

Dena turned me on to this place http://greenleafaquariums.com great prices and was very happy to answer some questions via email quickly and understandably. Packaging was good and the bags are professionally labeled so you know what you have.

Yes, I am very happy ordering dry ferts from Orlando, the owner of Green Leaf Aquariums. He is very knowledgeable and very quick to ship. For a starter package I'd recommend http://greenleafaquariums.com/aquarium- ... izers.html.

This is a great starter pack because you'll receive the 4 primary compounds. And will last well over a year in a 55G or about a year in a 90G.

Would I still need to get the Iron Dry Fert package? as a replacement to Leaf Zone?

You do not need the chelated iron. The CMS+B is your micro/iron compound. And, unless your tank is stuffed with red plants or others that have a very high demand on iron, it isn't necessary.

FYI - I only use the basic 4 compounds; plus I add CaCO3 and Epsom Salts when my GH and KH get too low. I have extremely soft tap water.
