  • Apono Hibernation

Has anyone started the hibernation of their Aponogeton Ulvaceous? I'm thinking of taking mine out next week and replant them in March or longer?

I had taken mine out of the tank, but it started to grow again. So, I dropped it back in. I need to force it into hibernation again.

Mine just died off. I think there is still a bulb under the sand though.

Yep, when they die back that's when you want to keep them in hibernation.

Should I wait until it dies down or force it into hibernation?

              I'd wait personally.

I put mine in some damp material and place it in an unheated room. Not sure how long this dormant peroid should be as mine doesn't want to rest very long.
