  • Question about DIY co2 diffusion

Hello fellow fish and plant keepers

Ok so after a second try and improvement to my whole DIY co2 setup I have managed to get co2 at a rate of a little less than 1 bps in an hour after making the batch. So I think that it is safe to say that I have this DIY project figured out I have the tube running into the bottom of my little power head. It does chop the bubbles into tiny little bubbles, but the bubbles still go to the top of the water and float around the top. I guess my main question is whether this is proper diffusion or not?

You will always get some bubbles that go to the top and hang out. I think as long as they are in contact with the water for at least 3-4 seconds they should be doing their job.

Sounds like you are making progress. Yes, a powerhead is one of the many ways to diffuse the gas bubbles.
