  • How long do flakes last in the freezer?

I was sorting through all my aquarium stuff today and I found a couple bags of flakes in the back of my freezer. They are sealed in zip lock bags with most of the air sucked out.

Do you guys think this food is still good? I'd hate to throw it all away cause there's probably a pound and a half of food, but if it's no good, then that's what I'm gonna do!

So long as the bags are airtight and free of moisture should be fine. If there is any discoloration or signs of freezer burn then toss it. I've kept flakes in the freeze for a couple of years without issue.

Awesome! They seem to look exactly as they did when I put them in there so I guess they are fine.

      Thanks for the response!

Glad you don't have to toss the food.
