  • Caring for Curviceps Fry

I bought a pair of curviceps from Rogue recently and they will be shipped out to me soon. I would like to know how to condition them for breeding and care for fry. Any help is appreciated!

Caring for curvicep fry is just like caring for GBR fry. You need freshly hatched BBS, frequent feedings, and daily waterchanges. You need to bulk the parents up before breeding them. They breed in soft, acidic water and prefer to have tinted water. They don't like high light but do appreciate lots of plants and wood. Provide a couple of caves and smooth rocks for the female to lay her eggs on. To induce breeding do a cool waterchange and lower the temperature two degrees. Both parents will care for the fry and defend them viciously.

Hmm... I may just see how nature takes its course in my main tank.
