  • New Silver...

So I picked up a new silver angel today... very sharp and very Angeled tail and fins... Well instead of getting picked on in the pecking order he decided to fight back challenging all my larger angels that nipped at him until he now seems to be the head hancho... even took over lucky my other silver who is male away from rocky my blue cobalt... rocky doesn't seem to happy about it and it seems like lucky wants to go back to her BUT my new Silver is very dominating...

Should I separate the Silver?.... because right now I would like my blue and silver to pair..

Maybe he will settle down after a bit and let her back. Sounds like you have got yourself a little monkey fish

I have to ask as you know we will

    The pictures are?

I hope he does settle do you have another tank available if he continues to be a pain?

This is your big tank right? If so, as long as they aren't physically damaging eachother I'd let them sort it out. If its still going on and intense down the line moving fish may be best imo.

I am down to 2 pairs in my 150G tank. Between the 2 of them, there was constant warring with the rest of the angels. I had to put the 4 unpaired ones in my 75G tank. Now each pair has taken a side and for the most part they keep to their own territory. But sometimes there are some scary looking fights in the middle. That's another reason I want to get another tank - so I can separate them. Kind of sad for me - I wanted this huge tank to be full of angels so I could watch them swimming gracefully in the tank and I am going to end up with just 2 in that great big tank. Oh well, room for another school, I guess.

LoL, I didn't wake up until 1pm est... BUT The aggression from the new silver/wild was so much he had all 7 of my other angels huddled on the right side of the tank in a 3 inch space... and would not let lucky my female silver do anything.... So my silver/wild had claimed 4 feet 9 inches of my tank and if any other angel moved passed 3 inches he would attack fiercely... So.... to bring my tank back to piece... he went back to the store...

Sorry Anthony, but at least now your other angels will be happy again.
