Great picture! You won't be able to tell what color they'll be until they morph. Even pure white ones are born black .

Well good luck with them, should be interesting to watch the color morph happen and see what you get!

Usually when they are a couple months old. I've noticed they change color near 1/2" or 1". Some change color after they get 3" or larger. It just depends on the fish.

This morning I found one of the babies laying on its back on a plant. I thought it was dead but when I went to get it it started swimming again. Ive been keeping an eye on him. Everyone else is fine

When I go to check on him he is laying upside down but quickly goes back to swimming. I checked on him at 1am before I went to bed and he was perfectly fine.

I also noticed that the babies are eating the snail eggs stuck on the glass is that bad for them?

And I did buy a little filter to put on the tank. I have a sponge that I can put on the intake so the babies won't get sucked up. Can I put the filter on the side of the tank instead of the back?

That's really weird. Never had that happen before.

No, snail eggs are good for them. Extra protein.

Yeah, you can put it on the side. What kind of filter?
