I am starting to see them at a lot of fish stores now. I had never seen one before last month. Very cool looking.

I've always seen them around. I might get a couple for the 55 if I can be sure they'll be okay with Rasp.

Update: Even though the lights are off, I have moonlight LEDs so I can see the fishies at night...OMG it's faster than my danios, they're so confused!

Yeeeeeeeeeah, you got ripped off unless they're like f1s and a proven breeding pair or something lol

Then probably... the store I got them from only carries them once a year only for a couple of weeks

I doubt they are F1s. Anything below F5 in Hillstreams is difficult to find because of the collection laws in Asia.

For a slightly more detailed answer Anthony, the term F1 usually refers to the offspring of two wild parents. They are the first domestic generation and labeled F1. Their offspring would be F2 and so on. Breeders value fish closer to wild blood because that means they usually have a more varied gene pool. However, F1 can also be used to refer to fish who are the first offspring from certain fish that a breeder has, regardless of wild blood parents. So if the fish were the first generation from certain parents they could be thought of as F1. But this system rarely is used. A different numbering system is used by various breeders. In Asia it is more common to use G1, G2, etc for that type of numbering and F1, F2, etc is reserved for near-wild fish.
