  • Disease or just a older fishie

Dot is two years old approximately. No other issues with the tank for 2 months now. Water parameters: pH 8.2, Ammonia 0 Nitrates 40 like always, nitrites 0. Temp 78. What do y'all think is on her snout? just scales or a problem. She's doing fine: eating swimming, pooping all is well.

So hard to tell from that photo. But I see similar color spots along her back. Maybe it is natural and nothing is wrong? I'd watch for behavioral changes or other signs of disease.

Thank you very much. It looks raised if you catch her at the right angle.. like she has fish flakes on her nose.
