  • uh oh...dg vs. discus

Well from everything I read DG's and Discus should be fine...BUT "Powder" my DG is going after the discus....

Maybe he's just initially trying to establish dominance? Hopefully it's just temporary

I generally try not to keep DGs with any other dominant fish like Discus, Angels, and Festivums.

Well I only have 1 and getting 2 more, they are something I've always wanted.... the DG, I like the guy but he is very aggressive to the point where even the angels leave him alone and he only does this nip thing to them, nothing serious but my little discus is about 2-2.5 inches total... so he/she is VERY small...

Yeah, I've heard they should be kept in groups of at least five. You wouldn't get just three tetras, and for the same reason you should get more discus Or a bigger tank, and then more discus!

Tetras $1-2 dollars... > discus $65-75 dollars... if they are bigger now we are talking 100+

Lol and that's why I like tetras lol! It's the safe option for me... I'd hate to kill something that expensive on accident...

A group of 3 is nice.... especially for the size they get 8 inch diameter... 6 they would practically take up the entire 120 forget about having any other fish...
