  • Since when do RCS have skunk stripes?

Pictures are horrible as I had to use flash on my cell cam. I saw 2 shrimp with an off white / cream double stripe down their backs. What does that indicate?

That's pretty normal. I forget what they are called but usually only females get them. Mine had that.

If it's normal why have I not seen that in a year? They are next to my bed so I look at the closely every day. I have MANY females that are looking black from being so dark red. My tank is going through a population explosion again.

That stripe is only found on neon colors... If you look at neon yellows they all have that stripe as well

Two of my girls have those stripes as well... I asked the same question of fl a while back...

Thanks everyone. I find it odd that I haven't seen those stripes and have kept the RCS for over a year. As they are reproducing faster than I can keep up with maybe it is a sign of good health. At least, that's what I am telling myself!

Reproduction is usually a sign of good conditions and happy critters.
