  • witnessed something interesting...

So my magenta and ivory snail looked like a little something going on then I notice my ivory snail with this elephant trunk shoot sticking out... never seen that before....

    THEN...

I see my purple snail riding my magenta snail and they are on the front glass.... in which I could clearly see everything... there was this little side gap up inside my magenta snail in which my purple snail riding the magenta snail had something inserted into this gap on my magenta... the gap thing was shaped like a half circle...

I don't know anything but I figure its mating it was just cool to see.... other than that.... what colors happen again when they breed?

    Magenta+Ivory=?

    Purple+Magenta=?

    Purple+Ivory=?

I'm not sure on the colors being a mystery noob myself but I was also quite taken aback when I first saw one force its "breathing tube" thing into another one, I assumed they did a hand off or something.

Just as a guess I would imagine you'd get more purple, magenta and standard chestnuts. I assume the chestnut or brownish coloring is a dominant gene.

I guess otherwise the cool colors wouldn't be as "cool" anymore?

I've seen mine doing "it" several times and still no clutches. I think maybe they are all infertile!

The interesting ones are the ones less commonly seen.

I don't like certain colors because they're rare, I like certain colors because I like the colors Even if brown snails were rare that wouldn't make me like them any more.

LOL you guys are funny. The only way I tell they are mating is when I see a small white tube going from the snail on top into the snail on the bottom. Otherwise the one on top is just hitching a ride lol.

                  1. About half and half Magenta and Ivory. You'll probably get some purples but not many.
                  2. Mostly purples and chestnuts with a few magentas.
