  • possible new tank

If Petco does the 1 $ gallon sale out here, the hubby said I could get a new tank If the tank is smaller than my 55 gal, I would move my barbs and redtail shark into it and turn the 55 into a community tank. What would be a good size for them? If luck is with me, it would be a 55 or bigger.

Yep, that sounds like a plan And then let the tank planning begin! Y'all will have to weigh in on it, like fishie aunties and uncles.

actually I would go for a 40 breeder, and make that the community tank, allows for a nice mix of fish in it and saves you a few bucks. While the 55 is nice, it is also narrow, the 40 has alot more usable swiming and turning space to it,.

I got the 55 Sunday night from petcos1 $ sale. I'll have to look into the 40 gal breeder that sounds nice. If I can manage it I may go back for a 10 or a 20. The 5 is too snall for quarantine tank if I want to get more than one or two fish at a time.

If i was buying a tank, I would buy the 40 breeder also. It's a great footprint, I really like tanks that are deeper front to back. Don't get me wrong any tank can be awesome depending on what you do with it. The 40 breeder is really manageable maintenance time wise but a great footprint to give you lots of flexibility.

Buy as large as you have money and space for.

Oh I wish, but I might find myself single if I get too big of a tank just yet. He's wanting to get some car parts so he can go race.

                          Parts vs. tanks...now there's a dilemma!

Well he did let me get 55 gal, no guts yet, but got the tank. He needs some suspension parts for the 240Z : 4 struts, sway bars, and tension bushings.
