  • still toxic?

I scraped and painted the children's playground train today with Rustolium enamel paint. I had to clean up with turpentine. I've showered, scrubbed till my skin is sore and clipped my nails all the way down, but I still smell the turpentine. Do you think it's safe to clean my tanks, or should I wait until tomorrow?

No clue what turpentine is but would wait til the smells gone or bug someone to do it for you... If it scares you to even think of doing it, don't...

Maybe try washing or soaking your hands in some bleach or vinegar to see if it helps to get rid of the smell.

        Ok I 'll do that.
Sean, turpentine is a solvent used to clean brushes etc after using oil based paints.

You could also try wearing long gloves.

So now I smell like vinegar AND turpentine. I just did the quarantine and nothing else. I don't have to put my hands in that one.

Which would you do, Anthony, Bleach, vinegar, gloves or mess up your tablet, or all of the above? My whole home screen has gone to'the land of things to find'.

Honestly it takes about 2-3 days for turpentine to get off... So... Rubber gloves that go up your arm? Or wait

Well , I don't smell anymore, so I'll do my changes tomorrow. The kids are going to be so happy; they can safely play on the train set. We set up the teeter totters, tether ball, rope swing and monkey bars.
