  • Picked up my fish from the LFS

I picked up my wild caught fish from the LFS last night and did a long acclimation and happy to say that they are all alive and eating/grazing.

I had the chance to get them for a $1 a piece at a chain store but decided to buy from my favorite LFS that QTed (5 weeks) the fish I buy for free. They do it for a select few I initially bought 15, but 4 didn't make it during the QT process. The owner also trained the fish to eat veggies (thankful) because my last batch didn't eat veggies.

Yeah, I'm pretty happy about that. The other Otos in the tank before I got this batch have never accepted veggies as a food source.

Update: All are alive!!!! This is the first I've seen Otos in my tank just swimming and not hiding in the plants. They are always in the front panel hanging out. Pretty cool unlike my other otos who were always hiding.

That's excellent news do you see all of yours? I see mine out and about but never the whole school the most I have counted is 6 at once. I always see the smallest so I don't think they have been lunch just too many hiding spots
