  • Fry Question

So, I finally got a batch of fertilize Angel eggs that actually hatched. I think I did everything right as in terms of setting up a egg nursery for them, but all the hatched wigglers died the following day...100%.

    My steps....

Took the leaf with the eggs into a 10g tank, added a seeded sponge filter, heater set for 78 degrees. Two days they hatched....The following day they all died. Any ideas what I did wrong? Should I put the seeded filter back into the main tank? These were the DD Black Angels btw.

I set the hatchery to 80-83F. So temp may have slowed development.

    How was the water treated?

Water current? What was the relation between the wrigglers and the airstone?

Did you do any water changes?

You will figure it out soon enough.

I used the main tank water where I got the eggs.

The only current was from a sponge filter using an air pump, I placed the eggs near the sponge filter too. No water change though.

Did you notice any kind of fungus or film on the dead fry?

No, didn't observe any fungus/slim on them.

Well, I just got another chance are rearing frys again. My angels layed another batch of eggs today after a WC.
