Since the site went down I've been through plant deficiencies and had to increase Potassium and Micros. Growth had slowed down. I've started dosing Epsom Salts as well. I pulled out the Dwarf Hairgrass as it was getting uprooted and it was dying slowly for some reason. Now, things are back on track again!

I now need to figure out what to do with the Bacopa Austrails. I guess I need to cut it back down again. The Ozelot Sword is in the back right corner with other stem plants, so the Bacopa is in the way!

Oriental Sword had mushy roots, so pulled it out a few days ago, cut off the bad roots and it had a single white firm root left so I slightly trimmed to hopefully stimulate growth. It has one leaf and she sits behind the Florida Sunset Wendtii.

      My dosing consists of:

1 teaspoon or more CSM+B 3x week (Iron and other Traces)
1/4 teaspoon chelated iron 1-2x week for extra
      1 teaspoon K2SO4 3x week (Potassium)
      1/8 teaspoon KH2PO4 1-2x week (phosphates)
1/2 tsp x2 Epsom Salts after 50% water change and 1/2 teaspoon in the middle of the week

When I get home from work today, it's water change day and I still have no idea on what to do with the Bacopa!

                    Re: 55g Planted tank Journal

Came home from work and my Red Melon had a stream of bubbles coming from a leaf! Never seen it do that before.

Anubias had lots of bubbles under leaves. Nothing new though. Wisteria had some tiny bubbles under some leaves.

                    Happy plants!

I have replaced the bulbs recently to what I listed in my 1st post; 6700k & 10k. I originally had a 650nm rosette and 6000k which were the original bulbs that came with the fixture over a year ago. I've noticed plants are happier since the switch and I've lowered the light down some about 3 days ago. Replacing bulbs, lowering light and increase in fertz has given good results.

What I have learned in my journey is research and listen to the advice that is given to you. If something is not right with the plants or algae appears don't wait! Pounce on it right away. Could be light, fertilizers or CO2. Something is lacking or too much light. My issue was fertilizers needed increasing and then light adjustment. One thing at a time.

Updated picture with Bacopa cut back on Monday.

In the back corner is the Ozelot Sword, myriophyllum and Pennywort. I believe it's Pennywort.

Almost missed that Ozelot Sword in the back corner...lol. It will grow and look quite nice in its current location.

Why are you tempting me to get my CO2 system earlier now? I love pearling plants.
