This thread is about the Amazing 10 gallon tank that I will be starting up. Currently it is a blank slate and not sure what the inhabitants are going to be.

    Plants:

-Definitely want some sort of moss....still debating what type.
-Will be ordering plants online today.

    Driftwood:

13 6 inch Cholla wood (currently boiling)

    Substrate:

Debating between leaf litter vs bare bottom vs sand vs fluval stratum

    Tank Dimensions: 20" x 10" x 12" (10 gallon)

Are you planning a more structured planting look or wanting an underwater jungle?

I always fancied heavily planted jungle look and bumblebee shrimp it's on my to tank list

I was thinking more of an Amazonian tank with wood and leaf litter on the floor

I was thinking leaf litter would be fun Do you have to keep replacing it though? When I had IAL they started falling apart after a few weeks.

Changing direction. I am still going to use the cholla wood, but I am going to make it a planted tank now. I just ordered my plants and a sponge filter last night. I am going to take the seeded sponge filter (which I use for my QT) from my main tank and use it for this tank and put the brand new sponge filter in the main tank for seeding purposes.

I was wondering how you'd pull off an Amazonian theme with the Cholla.

What plants are you putting in? I have all the same model sponge filter so I am constantly swapping sponges to where they are needed and its easy since the base is the same for all of them.

I was going to have the Cholla be like logs laying on the river bed...

                        Ordered:

                        Telanthera
                        Rotala Magenta

the rest of the plants I'm going to look around locally.
