  • What this work for a 30 gallon reef ?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/T5-Quad-30-T...9e204398fWould this work for my tank? I've never had to buy a light system for my tank all my old ones came with the tank and where great and dummy me did not pay attention to what the light was. I just let it do its job I know that is stupid but I had preggo brain and now I am really trying to get the best lighting I can on a one income household. Thanks again

That's really simmilar to the light on my 55g (hex, so I'm dealing with a 24" top). I like its growth in the top 2/3 of my tank, but its kinda lacking on penetrating luminosity to my sand.

Keep in mind, your corals will want new bulbs every 6 months (I'm guess $50-60 twice a year for mine). Led are more up front, but there's a good selection of effective ones on the market at this point. If you can handle a little diy for a housing, they're pretty close to t5 initial cost
